Tight end is not thought to be a major area of concern for the Dallas Cowboys. With that said, many fans have dreamed of the possibility of the Cowboys drafting Kyle Pitts at 10th overall. Pitts is an elite level prospect that is ranked as high as second the best player in the entire 2021 NFL Draft class by Daniel Jeremiah.
Pitts to the Cowboys still seems to be a bit of pipedream. The much more realisitic scenario, if the Cowboys pass on defense, is that Dallas grabs one of the draft’s top offensive tackles in round one. Still though, we can dream of the video game-like numbers that the Cowboys would put up with Pitts catching passes.
Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz form a formidable one-two punch at the position for Dallas. Jarwin entered the 2020 season with high expectations, but he tore his ACL very early in week one. Schultz then took advantage of the opportunities that he was presented with. Those two, along with the trio at wide receiver, make up a plethora of riches at pass catcher for the Cowboys.
COWBOYS HAVE MET WITH A TOP TIGHT END PROSPECT
Kyle Pitts is probably unlikely to be playing tight end for the Cowboys next season. However, there appears to be a chance that a different tight end from the Sunshine State could wind up in Dallas.
Miami’s Brevin Jordan said on Monday that he has spoken to Cowboys tight ends coach Lunda Wells. Jordan claims that “Dallas loves me a lot”.

Jordan emerged as one of the best tight ends in all of college football during his career with the Hurricanes. The former four-star recruit out of Las Vegas played three seasons in Miami. He grabbed 105 catches for 1,358 yards and 13 touchdowns over the course of his career.
The Miami product is not quite on the same level as Kyle Pitts. Then again, nobody really is. Pitts is seen as a unicorn of a prospect. That said, Jordan is a quality prospect that will likely make a team very happy in a later round of the draft.

Jordan had his pro day at the University of Miami on Monday. He measured in at just under 6-foot-3 and weighed in at 247 pounds with 9 3/4″ hands. The Vegas native clocked in a 4.67 40-yard dash.
Jarwin and Schultz are a more than solid duo at tight end. The two of them are both reliable options for Prescott in the passing game, and Kellen Moore is more than creative enough to utilize them effectively within the offense.
Still, it makes a ton of sense to continuously invest in the passing offense. Adding Jordan to the tight end unit would provide Prescott and Moore with another weapon to attack defenses with.
Currently, Brevin Jordan is projected to be a day-two selection. Should he fall to the third-round, it would make sense for the Cowboys to consider the former Miami tight end.
