Dak Prescott has had quite the offseason. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback inked a big-money, long-term extension to remain with America’s Team for the foreseeable future. Patrick Mahomes is the only player in NFL history to sign a more expensive contract.

Prescott has been the most valuable player on the Cowboys for a while now, and that only became more obvious when he went down last season. Now, Prescott continues to cash-in in a major way.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback became the first quarterback in the National Football League to ink a deal with the Jordan Brand. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that prescott will be the “highest-paid NFL player on the Jordan Brand roster”.

Prescott has previously been with Adidas. Adidas held an advantage over other brands due to the relationship Adidas has with Prescott’s alma mater, Mississippi State. It appears that Prescott could not pass up on the opportunity to sign with a brand such as Jordan, though.

Cowboys and NFL insider Patrik Walker was the first to mention the possibility of Prescott leaving Adidas for Jordan. Prescott was seen wearing Jordan cleats during OTAs, as you can see in the tweet below:

The Jordan Brand will help Prescott grow his brand even more. Jordan is mostly known for basketball, but the brand has expanded into football over the years, too. Prescott joins fellow NFL players Stefon Diggs, Jamal Adams, Michael Thomas, and more.

It certainly pays to be the quarterback of the most valuable sports franchise in the world.
